Winifred Yvonne Miller, 82 of Harrisburg, passed peacefully at home on January 24th, 2023 with her family by her side. She was affectionately known as Winnie or Cookie to family or friends. Winnie was the daughter of the late Ruth and Robert Dennis.
Winnie graduated from John Harris High School and was employed at J.J. Newberry, Harrisburg Hospital, and the City of Harrisburg where she retired after 26 years of dedicated service.
Winnie was baptized again in 2018 and was a member of New Anointed Christian Fellowship Ministries. Winnie loved shopping, dressing, music, dancing and going to the casino. She loved all her family and enjoyed being around them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers; Melvin, Robert, Richard, James, and Ralph Dennis, 2 sisters, Louise Dennis, and Kathleen Nardose.
Winifred leaves to celebrate her life and memory her surviving brothers; Larry Dennis, Lloyd (Ernestine) Dennis and John (Sarah) Dennis, her sister, Carol Dennis and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and many other family members and friends.
A special thanks to Caring Hospice for taking such good care of Winnie. Also, her other caring care givers Selene Davis, and Rochelle Dennis who also took very good care of her and loved her dearly.
