Willie J. Holland

A tribute in honor of Willie J. Holland, devoted husband of Donna, loving father of Dionne, Kevin and wife Beatrice, sibling of Cordelia Hughes and Hazel Flourence, grandfather to Morgan and Taylor McKinney and Lauryn Holland will be hosted at the Second Baptist Church in Harrisburg Saturday, Sept. 23 at 12 noon with viewing at 9. He passed suddenly in his 68th year Monday, September 18th.Willie was a deacon of the Second Baptist Church where he was a member of the Sheep Fold Ministry, Outreach Ministry, Hospitality Ministry, Security Ministry and Usher Ministry. He retired as a Vice Detective after 26 years of service for the City of Harrisburg. He was also a member of the FOP. His passion beyond his family was his church, Penn State and Philadelphia Eagles football, bowling and coaching teener league baseball. In addition to his parents Willie and Carrie Holland he was predeceased by his sister Ella Howerton, brothers Joe and Lawrence Holland. His final resting place will be in the Paxtang Cemetery. The family will be hosting this service under the professional guidance of the Hooper Memorial Home Inc.
