William James Robertson Jr.

August 16, 1976 — September 12, 2024

Harrisburg

William James Robertson, Jr. was born August 16, 1976 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to William J. Robertson, Sr. and the late Marjorie Ann Robertson of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. William, better known as Jay, departed this life, Thursday, September 12, 2024 in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after a long battle with complicated medical conditions.

Jay received his formal education in the Susquehanna Township School District. He had dreams and aspirations of attending Dauphin County Vocational School to master the trade of Auto Mechanics. In his early years Jay loved all kinds of music and was a local DJ affectionately known as DJ REDD HOTT to many people. He was a self-taught mechanic that could do almost anything inside and outside of a car. For many years Jay worked for Russ Battiato at a local used car dealership as well as various auto auctions. He also called himself "Wrigginz". He could literally rig anything broke and make to make it work. He was afforded the opportunity to relocate to St.Maarten for employment; while there he DJ'd and excavated the area which is now Indigo Bay, St. Maarteen.

Jay unconditionally loved his wife Karen, his children, his family, and his friends. He was one of those people if you engaged him in conversation - even if for only 5 minutes, you would instantly be drawn to his magnetism. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. Those who really knew him know he missed his calling as a comedian. When he entered any room, he filled it with his radiant smile. Jay smiled until his last breath. He fought harder and stronger than any warrior known to mankind.

Jay was an avid movie buff. One of his favorite movies was Back to the Future. In true style and grace, Jay jumped into his DeLorean and surpassed the speed of 1.21 Gigawatts directly into heaven. Jay enjoyed landscaping at home, fishing, building and maintaining aquariums, watching horror movies, westerns, comedy shows, and detective shows. He also enjoyed shooting pool, bowling, car swap meets, motocross, and NASCAR. He was the true definition of an adrenaline junkie. He also spent time in prayer, devotion, and worshiping Jesus. His greatest passion was creating new musical mixes, and blends as well as traveling the globe. Jay was blessed enough to go on his first Caribbean cruise days prior to him being in the ICU. He explored six islands - his favorite was Jamaica.

Although Jay didn't play sports growing up, he was a huge sports fan. The Eagles, Sixers, and Phillies were his favorites.

Song Quotes: Don't Gain The World & Lose Your Soul, Wisdom Is Better Than Silver Or Gold. Love the life you live. Live the life you love. The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively. Bob Marley Leave a mark that can't erase, neither space nor time So when the director yells cut we'll be fine Jay-Z(Young Forever)

Jay leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Karen Armstead-Robertson; his father, William J. Robertson, Sr. (Rosan); sister Twyla Perkins (Terry) of Emmitsburg, Maryland; brother, Kashif Robertson; daughters, Jaylin Robertson of Harrisburg and Jahla Goode of Atlanta, Georgia; stepsons Isaiah and Jayden of Harrisburg; granddaughters Sakari of Marietta, Pennsylvania, and the newest addition to his family, Reignah of Harrisburg; uncles, Jerry "Perk" Parker, James C. Williamson, Jr.; aunts Mamie Williams, Patricia Williamson, Cheryl Weathers (Joe), Tina Williamson and Carrie McArthur all of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, as well as a host of cousins and extended family.

William was predeceased by his mother Marjorie Robertson whom he was still grieving because he loved and missed her so much; paternal grandmother Lillian Robinson and maternal grandmother Daisy Wright both whom he loved deeply; and his dearest uncle Benny Lee Parker; and aunts Marsha Johnson and Doris Gardner.

He will be missed by a very large host of relatives and friends. He was especially close to his cousin Adrian Robertson who was like a big brother to him. Adrian also acted as a mentor and spiritual guide for Jay later in his life when he committed his life to the Lord.

He was also very close with his cousins Brian Williamson, Mario Johnson, and Barry Williamson as they all grew up more like brothers.

"One more into the fray....Into the last good fight I'll ever know, Live and die on this day. Live and die on this day."
