William H. Gumby Jr.

"When I come to the end of my journey and traveled my last weary mile... "   William H. Gumby Jr., 76 passed peacefully on April 1, 2012 In N. Las Vegas, NV. He was the son of the late William H. Gumby Sr. and Anna E. Courts-Gumby. He was an Air Force Veteran, retired from the Federal Fire Department and a member of McAlmont Church of Christ, little Rock, Arkansas. William enjoyed watching sports, traveling, making friends serving his community and doing God's work. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Lynda Gumby and survived by his children; Laura Winslow, Doris Gumby, and Gloria Gumby of Las Vegas, NV, William (Tanya) Gumby III, of Los Angeles, CA; siblings;: Elder Robert (Bernice), Ronald, Charles and Elder Dr. John (Sandra) Gumby Sr. all of Harrisburg; several grandchildren; niece Anna and nephew Richard,; and a host of relatives and friends. Services will be held at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. on Friday April 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.; viewing at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
