Wendy Johnson-Thompson

Wendy (Samihah) Johnson Thompson was born, to the late Wesley and Barbara Johnson Sr, in Port Chester, NY,  transitioned peacefully at her home in Harrisburg, PA on January 16, 2024.

Wendy received her formal education at Port Chester High School in NY. She continued her studies and obtained an Associate Degree from Harrisburg Area Community College.  She was employed as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor at Detox and Drug Rehab Facility.

Wendy was known for her loving nature, straightforwardness, and ability to convert a stranger into a friend at “Hello”. She was family oriented,  loved and was loved by her family and enjoyed spending quality time with them.

  Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Barbara Johnson Sr. and three brothers: Wesley Johnson Jr., Stephen and Joseph Johnson. 

She leaves to mourn with precious memories and love: her husband of 27 years, 

Michael Thompson; her son and pride and joy, Hanif Johnson, Harrisburg, PA; step son Mike Jr.; siblings: Kimberly Johnson, Harrisburg, PA, Crystal, Rev. Dr. Timothy Johnson Sr.,Cheraw, SC; her heart’s delight, her beloved grandchildren; surrogate sons and daughters: RayQuan, Shawn, Takeda, Kevin, Swonson (brother); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
