Wahnetta A. Williams

Wahnetta A Williams, 77 gracefully returned home to heaven as she passed on August 8, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle Community Osteopathic in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She was born on August 11, 1940 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Alfred and Mable Madden.

Wahnetta was extremely passionate about helping others. She dedicated 30 years at the Polyclinic Hospital as an Operating room Technician, helping families and patients through difficult times, she never lost her desire to help others. Continually leading a life of purpose, at polyclinic she found a place in her heart to help mentality challenged children become adopted by families and receive love. Later she proceeded to spread that love throughout her career at Tressler as a adoption coordinator. Positively impacting students of the Harrisburg School District, Wahnetta served as a parent coordinator at Melrose Elementary School where she helped families prioritize the education of the child with a hands on approach. Wahnetta loved to knit beautiful quilts for her family, she also enjoyed shopping, watching movies full of laughter, and her involvement with the Edgemont Firehouse Social Club.

She married Gerald Colburn Williams on May 20, 1978. Mrs. Williams was a loyal member of the House of Faith and Deliverance in Edgemont, Pa. Wahnetta leaves to celebrate her wonderful life her brothers Leonard Madden and Delmar Madden. Her children Velma Madden, Loren Kegler, Joey Williams, Charlene Williams, Robert Williams, Matt Williams, Aisha Williams, David and Daniel Williams, Gerald Williams, Aaron Williams, Kristen Williams, and Shaquwann Williams; twenty three grand children, nine great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
