Vivian Janet Pittman 77 of North Street passed peacefully in Spring Creek Nursing Center on November 18, 2008. She was born on July 27, 1931 in Harrisburg and the daughter of the late James E. Sr. and Clara N. Ray. Vivian retired from the Rite Aid Corporation and enjoyed traveling, puzzles, camping, cooking and sewing. She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Eugene Pittman Sr., daughters, Theresa A. Beverly and Ardella L. Pittman, sons; Eugene Jr., Steven C. and Jerome Pittman,a devoted friend Khadijah Williams; sisters, Clara J. Tate, Joyce C. Ray and Kathlyn J. Herring, 12 grand and 7 great-grandchildren with a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be Monday, November 24, 2008 in Hillside Seventh Day Adventist Church at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m. and internment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Mrs. Pittman's services and care is being handled by the Hooper Memorial Home, Inc., the family appreciates your many acts of kindness and prayers.
