Viola E. Collins Allen

Viola Allen, also known as “Miss miss” age 94 entered into eternal rest on October 30, 2014.  Viola was born to the late Joseph Collins and Lucinda Banks Collins of Susquehanna Township (Edgemont) on September 9, 1920.  She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Ford Allen, daughters Cynthia Allen Forney and Emily Allen Matthews, her brothers Jessie Leo Collins, Eugene Collins and Edwin Collins, her sisters Gladys Collins, Edna Handy Talley, and Mary Jones. She is survived by her sister Adeline Baltimore (Otis Baltimore) of Corpus Christy, TX and her 6 grandchildren Debra Hall (Dennis Hall), of Harrisburg, Kevin Allen of Harrisburg, Kimberly Curry (Jerome Curry) of Princess Anne, Maryland and Valonda Linton (Earnest Linton) of Dillsburg, PA, Sherrie L. Allen of Princess Anne, Maryland, and Ronald Keith Matthews of Harrisburg along with 12 great grand children and 6 great great grandchildren. Viola graduated from Susquehanna Township high school and Harrisburg Area Community College after completing her training in Administrative Fiscal Management.  Viola retired from the Pennsylvania State Department, Department of Education.
