Viola Chambliss

"Then you must not grieve so sorely, for I love you dearly still" Viola Chambliss, 98, passed peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2009 in Harrisburg. Viola was a member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, Past Daughter Ruler of Cyrenus Lodge #75 of Steelton, a member of the Order of Eastern Star and she also loved music and singing. Viola leaves to celebrate her life and memory her children; Virginia Fountain of Harrisburg, Dorothy Hall of York, Phyllis Chambliss Campbell of Mechanicsburg, Marcia Chambliss and Elaine Mebane Spears both of Harrisburg, 14 grand, 22 great-grand and 10 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Elk Services will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. in Hooper Memorial Home, Inc., funeral services will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, 1919 N. 4th Street and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
