On Monday, December 4, 2017 at 0915, Victor Patrick Peterson III (AKA Chino and Hondo) was called home to meet the Master after an extended illness. The Master found it time to relive him of his discomforts and to provide him ultimate rest.
He was born on April 8, 1952 in Bronx, New York to the now deceased Victor Peterson, Sr. and the now deceased Beulah I. Peterson. At age 2, he moved and spent most of his life in Saint Albans, New York. He graduated from Saint Pascal H.S. and attended St. John’s University for several years majoring in Biology and Political Science minor.
In his youth, he played Semi Pro Basketball and (Once played at Madison Square Garden). He could talk for hours about politics, shop Amazon for the latest electronics, and for peace of mind, he would attended the Great Shiloh Church in Stroudsburg, PA.
On August 10, 1978, he married the love of his life, Virginia Peterson and moved to Middletown, NY, where he began a career as a Correction’s Officer. Three years later, he became a NYC Transit Police Officer. Eventually, they merger with NYPD and he was afforded the opportunity to be promoted to Detective/Sergeant. In 1985 a son was born, and we named him Andre P. Peterson. The highlight of his life story was in 2001 after 20 years active police duty, he retired and moved to Gouldsboro, PA to pursue a life of peace and tranquility.
Victor had a very small family and his grandmother, father and mother proceeded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his wife Virginia Peterson, Son Andre’ Peterson, beloved dog “Snow” and a host of extended family member and friends.
