Belva Roberta Nelson Linen

Belva Roberta Nelson Linen, age 71 of Harrisburg Pa, passed peacefully December 25,2022, at her home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She was born on February 17, 1951, in Harrisburg, to the late Robert Nelson and Belva McCullough. In addition to her parents, Belva was preceded in death by her daughter, Leticia Y. Linen.

Belva received formal education from Harrisburg School District and was a graduate of William Penn High School. She was employed at Reese’s Candy factory, Bethlehem Steel Corp, Harrisburg School District and her very own, “Aunt Belva’s Honeybee Hive” Daycare.  For 16 years Belva worked at the Bethlehem Steel Corp as a table operator. During her time as a Harrisburg School District employee, she primarily served as an Assistant Teacher with special needs students. She was known for her impact at Hamilton Elementary School.  

Belva loved children, music, and ministry. She was a committed church member at the Kingdom Embassy, Inc for years. She was very musical and sang in many citywide and state events. Belva was a Director of the Youth Choir at church and she loved the kids that she taught immensely.  

Belva was preceded in death by Leticia Y. Linen (daughter) and is survived by her husband, Stephen M. Linen, children, (son) Amari Jennings, (daughter) Sha’Kira Jennings, and (daughter) Nieko Harris (daughter)(Vernell Jr.).  A sister, Laura Yvette Nelson Spivey, 5 grandchildren and a host of family, friends & Godchildren.
