Velma M. Smith

Velma M. Smith, 80 of Susquehanna Township, transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. She was retired from the former Pennsylvania Department of Property & Supplies and the Harrisburg School District.Velma loved the Lord, and was a faithful member of Baptist Fellowship Church. She loved her family, gospel music, playing piano, and traveling.Loving her but letting her go are her four children Linda (James) Crummel, David (Kim) Smith, Olivia Perrin and Angela Smith; a brother Lee (Jan) McLellan, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.Velma was predeceased by her parents Blake and Marie Stephens, husband John Smith Sr. and son John Jr.Services will be held in the First Baptist Church of Steelton, February 10th at 11am with viewing at 10am. Her final resting place will be in the William Howard Day Cemetery.
