Vada J. Carter Richardson of Hale Ave. passed peacefully on Friday, April 21st at Community General Hospital in her 76th year. Ms. Richardson, the daughter of the late, James and Lillian Carter was a business woman, owner and operator of Richardson and Associates, started by her late husband, Arthur Richardson, including a general store and real estate company. Vada was a member of The Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church for more than 50 years and made outstanding contributions throughout her community. Her passion for life was her family, daily scripture readings and the enjoyment that came from watching sports. She leaves to celebrate her life and memory her 5 loving children; Arthur, Eric James and Eldora Richardson of Harrisburg, Siddhi Bility of State College and Mark Richardson of Philadelphia, 6 siblings; Zonnie Kelley, Zennie Wilson, Icie Anderson Jackson and Betty, Lincoln and Varnie Carter, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a loving companion, Charles Edward Gumby. A Celebration of Vada's life will be held in her church on Thursday, April 27th at 11:00 AM with viewing at 9:00 and interment in East Harrisburg Cemetery.
