OBITUARY
"May the work I've done speak for me..."
Twyla L. "Toot" Maynard-Banks, 58, of Lower Paxton, passed peacefully at Harrisburg Hospital on Thursday, July 7, 2010. Toot as she was affectionately known, retired from the Dept. of Transportation with several years of dedicated service. She was a member of Emanuel COGIC; belonging to several ministries including the Pastor's Aide, Celestial Choir, Christian Woman's Council, Hospitality and Prayer and Bible Band to name a few, she was also a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts, Troup #40. She was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Betty Maynard and two siblings, Sonya and Jethro Brooks. Twyla leaves to celebrate her life her husband George Banks, 4 children; Lakeya, DeWayne and Keith Maynard and Brandon Banks, 3 siblings, Judith Maynard Finley, Andrea Maynard Lockett and Willie Maynard, Jr. all of Harrisburg, 7 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Emanuel COGIC, 601 N. 16th Street, Harrisburg at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery. The family greatly appreciates your love and kindness during their time of bereavement. Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. is handling Mrs. Banks' arrangements.
