We are here to celebrate the life of an adventurous soul who left us way
too soon. Local resident, Trey’Quan L. Daniels, also known as “Trey
Sosa”, was born to Corry J. Matthews and Tara Courts on August 13,
1998 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
A young man of many passions, Trey especially relished the company
of family and friends, and his partner, Dayshia Gardner. And, he loved
to eat too, didn’t he, y’all? High fashion was another passion of his - to
the end that he was designing his own clothes and a line of sneakers
and boots. (Had he lived on, he would’ve put Timberland, Ralph
Lauren, and Kenneth Cole out of business; I believe that he was THAT
talented!) Like many young men his age, he also enjoyed video games,
singing, dancing and playing pool. Still, his passion of passions was
skateboards, cars, dirt bikes, and motorcycles! Trey’Quan loved life.
Yes, Trey’Quan practiced a work ethic to be admired. Right after
graduating from Central Dauphin East Senior High School’s Class of
2017, he wasted no time securing employment: first, as a driver for
Uber; and, who can remember the “Trey Sandwich” he invented when
he worked at the Waffle House? Finally, he served as a forklift operator
for Amazon. Trey’Quan led by example and often attended church with
his uncle throughout the years.
He is survived by his father, Corry J. Matthews; his mother, Tara
Courts; his grandparents, Willie Lyles, Sr., and Teresa L. Price; his great
grandparents Gwendolyn Brown, David Brown, and Charles Blount.
his siblings: Eddie Tate, Jr., Tiara Matthews, TyTiara Green, a beloved
niece, India Matthews; and uncles and aunts: Willie Lyles, Jr., Jameanna
Lyles, Sharita Gibson, Leroy Bass IV, Leanna Bass, and his partner,
Dayshia Gardner, and a host of other relatives. He was preceded in
death by Vivian Lyles, Ruby Courts, Raymond Lyles, and his great
grandmother Fannie Mack Lyles.
Trey’Quan L. Daniels lived an exuberant life. His enthusiasm for life
was contagious as his million-dollar smile. We won’t EVER forget that,
Trey’Quan! We won’t EVER forget you! We love you!
