The Reverend Theodore H. Johnson

Rev. Theodore H. Johnson, 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Harrisburg Hospital. Born August 31, 1933, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Howard A. Johnson and Rev. Dr. Elizabeth L. (Johnson) Warren. Educated in the Philadelphia Public School System, he received a Bachelor's Degree from Philadelphia Bible School and Theological Seminary. He was a former Assistant Director of the H.E.L.P. Program, for Christian Churches United. He was the pastor of Warren Memorial Missionary Baptist Church He faithfully served as pastor for over 26 years until his health would no longer allow him to do so. At the time of his transition into eternal life, he was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothiann M. (Butcher) Johnson and daughter, Theodora Johnson. He leaves to celebrate his life, four sons: Michael B. Johnson (Charmaine), Adrian M. Dean, Sr. (Tawana), Terrance H. Johnson; and three daughters: Veatrice Carroll, Linda Bridgeford, Michele J. Adamu (Ibrahim); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family. Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Worship Service at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.1331 S. 14th Street, Harrisburg, on Saturday, November 29, 2008. Visitation will be held from 10:30 - 11:00 A.M. with service to follow immediately. The family appreciates the acts of love and kindness shown to them during this time of sadness.
