Sylvester M. Weatherly

Sylvester M. Weatherly, 67 of Harrisburg passed suddenly on September 29, 2012. He was the son of the late Thomas McGee and Lucy Walker Weatherly. Sylvester retired from the Commonwealth, Department of General Services as a HVAC Specialist, he was a member of the 16th Street AME Church in Altoona, PA, the American Legion, Elks Lodge #71 and Bostonian Club. Along with his parents he was preceded by his wife Bonnie Weatherly, siblings; Walter, Gert, Dorothy and James Weatherly and also Kenneth Crawford. He leaves to celebrate his life his children; Sylvester Weatherly and Donna Brown of Harrisburg, also Vernon and David Crawford, siblings; Cornelius Weatherly of Harrisburg, Frank Weatherly of Altoona, 2 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Services will be held at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m. with burial in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
