Sterlethia Clark also known as “Slick” and “Sissy” was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on Jan 23, 1932. She lived most of her life in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Sterlethia was the daughter of the late Mary Jackson and Phillip Franklin. She transitioned peacefully falling asleep in the arms of Jesus at 3: 39 a.m. on Wednesday May 2, 2018 at UPMC Osteopathic Community General Hospital.
Sterlethia enjoyed having fun, hanging out with her only sister Melzenia, they were always together. She also enjoyed taking care of her family, singing, dancing, music, shopping, watching movies, reading and her puzzle books. She loved living life to the fullest.
In her early years, she was a faithful and dedicated member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she served on the usher board. She also committed herself to various other duties when asked. Later she became a member of New Zion Agape Fellowship under the leadership of her loving daughter Pastor Madeline Clark.
Along with her parents she is predeceased by her sister Melzenia and son Jerome Clark. She leaves to celebrate her life her children; Pastor Madeline Clark, Pastor Carlotta Hairston (Bishop Clyde), Richard Clark, Mrs. Carla Kennedy (Herbert), John Clark, 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and a host of , nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Sterlethia will be truly missed.
