Sonya N. Glasper

Sonya Nicole Glasper, 48, transitioned from this life to eternal life on Sunday, December 29, 2019 with her loved ones by her side. Sonya was born on July 5, 1971 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Carol Seay and Larry Neely.

Sonya received her education in the Harrisburg School District and furthered her education majoring in Business. She was employed at PHEAA for several years before securing a position at PSECU.  Sonya worked as a Mortgage Closing Analyst for many years until her health no longer permitted her to do so.

Sonya enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing games, reading good books, cooking, watching her favorite TV shows and movies. Sonya also enjoyed R & B, especially hits from the 90’s and great gospel music. Sonya was warm, compassionate, and had a loving spirit. She was funny, entertaining and consoling to everyone. She was the local counselor and you could always depend on her for advice, support and kindness.

Sonya was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas and Patricia Glasper; uncles Thomas Glasper Jr. and Mike Neely; and aunt, Sharon Neely.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory; loving parents, Carol Seay and Larry (Lawana) Neely; siblings, Julian and Paul Seay, Larry Burnett; grandmother, Lois McFarland; uncles, Steve and Sheldon Neely, Sterling McFarland; aunts, Carla, Kim, and Angela Wilson, Stacie Glasper, and Tamera Clemens; nephews, Julian (Ju-Ju) and Jalil Seay; nieces, Nevaeh Holton and Eva Neely.  Sonya was especially close to her cousins Chekara Burnett, Sierra, Jessica, Tomanique and Jenise Glasper; friend, Robin Cornell and lifelong sister/friends; Dawana Gay, Lisa Holmes, Mary Cargile, Pamela Anthony, Angela Fulwiley, and Barbara Thompson.  

Sonya may not be here in the physical sense, but her love, spirit, and kindness will be carried forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
