Sara Ann Chase Talton, affectionately known as “Penny” was born on December 25th, 1939, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She was born to the late Robert Chase and Beulah London Chase. Penny graduated from William Penn High School in 1958. Penny worked at Harrisburg Hotel as soon as she became old enough to work and worked all throughout her high school years, She also worked for the State of Pennsylvania for 11 years as a part-time employee. Penny was employed with and retired after 36 years of service from Dauphin Manor County Home & Hospital, she was also held the position of Vice-President at AFSCME. Penny worked as a nurse’s aide and physical therapist assistant. After retirement, Penny worked part time, as a home health aide and worked for the Harrisburg School District as a lunch aide and distributing lunches for Parks Recreations during the summer.  
 
Penny’s passion was spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed shopping and watching old western movies, and gardening.  Penny also had passion for children she met while working for the Harrisburg School District and throughout her neighborhood.
 
A Christian, Penny was a faithful member of Lingo Memorial Church of God in Christ for over 30 years.  She served on the Usher Board, Pastor Aide, and served as a mother of the church.          
 
Penny transitioned from this earthly life to her reward of eternal life on April 15th, 2024, in the comfort of her home.  She  was preceded in death by her husband Harold B Talton;  father Robert Chase and her mother Beulah London Chase;  brother Robert Jackson; brother-in-law Deacon George Alexander; her grandson Tyrone “Ty-D” Hills Jr.;  great-great grandson Raekwon Watts jr. and stepdaughter Sherry Wilson.
 
She leaves to celebrate her life her daughter, Andrea Renee Watts, Angela D Watts, Yvonne L. Watts Hills all of Harrisburg, PA, stepdaughters Linda Wilson, Lois Wilson of Lancaster, PA, grandchildren; Cory Watts of Winchester, VA, Nicole Watts, Tiara Watts, Tykeisha Hills all of Harrisburg, PA, Shanon Watts of Chesapeake, VA, 11 great grandkids, 2 great-great kids, brother Richard E Chase and sister Betty Mae Alexander both of Harrisburg, PA, sister Flora Jackson of Charlotte, NC, and a host of family and friends.
