Sandra Boyd

"When I come to the end of my journey and traveled my last weary mile" Sandra Boyd, 47, of Harrisburg, passed peacefully on Thursday, December 2, 2010 in Harrisburg Hospital. Born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey before moving to Harrisburg, 21 years ago. She was employed by the Federal Government, in the Department of Social Security and formerly by Dauphin Manor Nursing Home. She was a caring and loving mother to her son, who had a passion for working and reading books. Sandra was the daughter of the late Jessie Davis and survived by her mother Annie R. Boyd; a son, Malik Smith, both of Harrisburg, two sisters, Carol Boyd (David) and Rosalind Boyd of Trenton, two brothers, Willie Boyd of Harrisburg and Donnie Boyd of Newark, NJ. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including a special caregiver, Vernadine Jones. Services will be held privately for Sandra's family. Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. is caring for and handling arrangements.
