Sadie Gross

Sadie Gross who was born in Washington, GA passed peacefully on Wednesday, August 29th at Spring Creek Nursing Home in her 76th year. Sadie was the daughter of the late George Britton and Ressie Powell Britton. She was also a faithful member of the Mt. Zion Church of God and Christ, under the late Elder Caesar Bennett and served on the Missionary Board, Mother's Board and was a former Member of the Pastors Aid Committee. Sadie was predeceased by her husband, Edward H. Gross and leaves to celebrate her life and memory 4 children; Donna (Gross) Elliott of Maryland, Edward Gross, Anna Marie (Gross) Carter and Joann (Gross) Ramsey all of Harrisburg, 6 siblings; Ida Turner and Dorethea Williams both of Washington DC, Lois Foster of New Jersey, Mary Easton, Eugene Britton and Patricia English all of Harrisburg, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Sadie will be celebrated and remembered at New Day Way of the Cross Church of Christ, 310 Peffer Street on Saturday, September 8th at 11:00 a.m. Viewings will be held at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. on Friday at 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., and again at the church at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Interment will be held on Monday, September 10th at 10:00 a.m. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. The family greatly appreciates your love and support during their time of loss and bereavement
