Russell A. Cohn

OBITUARY    "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose... "   Russell A. Cohn, 75 son of the late Joseph G. Cohn and Mary Narcisse was born on September 5, 1936 in New Orleans, LA. On Thursday, March 1, 2012, Russell entered into eternal rest. He was a retired social worker for the Department of Public Welfare, an Army Veteran and a member of American Legion Post 730 Penbrook. He enjoyed his job, loved coin and stamp collecting and traveling. Russell was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph L., and Eugene G. Cohn and son Russell Peterson. He leaves to celebrate his life, his wife Maxine Cohn, a sister Leona Bywater; daughters, Annette and Rhonda Cohn; son Michael Cohn; stepdaughters, Stephanie Jennings, Desiree Sherer, and Tamiko Poles, grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A tribute to his life will be held at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday March 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
