Roshell K. Johnson

Roshell K. Johnson (Kym), 46, daughter of James Brown and the late Nawatha Shepherd, born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, passed away Monday, November 9th, 2020.Those that knew Roshell could tell you just how big her heart was. She worked proudly as a Home Health Aide and cared for people with a sense of regard. She was an avid music listener and loved to sit and vibe out to her favorite songs. Mary J. Blige was always in heavy rotation. Always the entertainer and a good host, she would jump at the chance to get the family together for house parties. Everyone knew her as Kym. She was big on family. She also had a love for sports. A dedicated fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Miami Heat. Her smile could light up a room, and her edgy, sometimes sarcastic, humor and personality would draw you in and make you feel like you knew her forever. A prideful and strong-willed woman that went the extra mile and did her best to pass those traits on to her children.

Although we will miss your presence in the physical form, we will see you again for we know in God’s word it states in John 3:16: (For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life)

She is survived by her fiancé William E. Peters Sr. and her children Calvin L. Parker Jr., Canelius L. Parker, Akiya A. Smith and William E. Peters Jr. She was blessed with 2 grandchildren, Messiah A. Parker and Calvin L. Parker lll.

Surviving siblings are Kenneth L. Shepherd Jr., Nicole Shepherd and Brian E. Shepherd.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions all attendees must wear a mask, practice social distancing and hand sanitizing. Please note that during the viewing hour participants will be staggered and the funeral ceremony will be by invitation only and pre-selected by the family.
