Rosene Lively-Darren 86, of Waynesboro, GA transitioned from this life to the next to be with her Lord and Savior on January 1, 2024. Rosene was born on January 22, 1937 to the late Alvin and Sara (Felix) Lively in Alexander, GA.
Rosene was a 1957 graduate of Waynesboro Industrial High School where she played basketball. She began to enjoy football and became a Philadelphia Eagles fan. She enjoyed watching her daughter go ballistic over bad on the field calls. She would just laugh. She loved to bowl, travel, dance, feed and help others in need.
Rosene received the Lord at an early age and she was baptized at Thompson Bridge Baptist Church. After she graduated from High School, she met and married Roosevelt Darren and they moved to Trenton, NJ where she lived for 51 years. She worked for the US Postal Service for 30 years and of those 30 years she was a member of the Eastern Stars and became a Daughter of Isis. After retiring, she relocated to Harrisburg, PA in 2008, attended The Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church and later became a member in 2023.
Rosene was proceeded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Darren; son, Kevin Troy Darren; sister, Mary Lively-Austin; brother-in-law, Thomas Austin and grandson, Nicolas Darren. Rosene is survived by her children, Tilear Darren-Reid (Aaron), Myeshia Darren of Harrisburg, PA, Yolanda Darren-Taylor (Nathanial), Thaddeus Darren, of Abbyville, Alabama, and Nicole Darren-Carroll (William) of Ewing, New Jersey and her sisters, Hosie Neal of Keysville, GA and Anna Mae Williams of Independence, Missouri. Along with 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
