With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Rosalind Brooks on October 5th, 2023 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She was born on August 29, 1946, in the vibrant city of Baltimore, Maryland. Rosalind, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished member of the community, left an indelible mark on the lives she touched. Her memory will forever remain etched in our hearts.

As a dedicated nurse, Rosalind devoted her life to caring for others. Armed with her Associate's Degree, she pursued her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the field of healthcare. Her compassion knew no bounds, as she tirelessly comforted patients during their most vulnerable moments. Her selflessness and unwavering dedication were truly exemplary.

Rosalind's impact extended far beyond her profession; she was a pillar of strength, wisdom, and love within her family. She leaves behind her devoted spouse Isaac Mitchell, and her beloved sons Raymond Brooks and Vincent Bittinger, and their loving wives Karen Brooks and Barbara Bittinger. Their lives were forever enriched and enlightened by her presence.

Throughout her life, Rosalind embodied the values of kindness, grace, and resilience. Her unwavering faith in humanity and her ability to find joy in life's simplest pleasures were a source of inspiration for all those who knew her. She possessed a gentle soul, a warm smile, and a compassionate heart that touched the lives of countless individuals.

A reception will be held on October 18th, 2023, at the Hooper Memorial Home Chapel, beginning at 10:30 a.m. A memorial celebration service will be held at the same location at 11:00 a.m., where we will gather to pay our final tributes, share cherished memories, and find solace in the embrace of community. This tribute is a reflection of her desire for simplicity and the belief that her spirit will forever be free.

Rosalind Brooks will be remembered not only for her unwavering dedication as a nurse but also for her generous spirit, compassionate heart, and the love she bestowed upon all. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her legacy continue to inspire and uplift us.
