Robert Haygood was born August 21, 1950, to the union of Charlie Haggood and Mary Baily Haggood. He passed away April 29, 2021. Robert was educated in Calhoun county Public Schools. He started carpentry work at the age of 14. He worked in construction for 16 years, and was a Journeyman for Local Union 158 for 9 years.
Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Sallie Mae Haygood; Parents Charlie and Mary Haggood; Brothers: Charlie Haggood, Johnny Clay Haygood, Sisters: Eloise Benjamin, Rosa Mae Keller and Lilly Glover.
Robert leaves to cherish and remember his life three daughters, Charlotte T. Boddie of Harrisburg, Pa, Deon (Johnnie) Branch and Vanessa (John) Haygood-Arthur both of South Carolina, two grandsons: Xenophon (Lucky) Singleton, Jr. and Gerald Thomas Boddie, III; two great-grands: Xenophon Singleton, III and Ximyra Singleton; His siblings: Henry Haggood (Vernell), Eugene Haggod, Aretha Brunson (Stephen), Eartha Fields (Willie), Mary Fields (Marvin), Dorothy Parker (William) Alfred Heygod and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and an abundance amount of friends. Submitted with the Blessed Assurance of Robert’s Eternal Life.
