Robert Nathaniel Greenfield, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and loyal friend⦠was born on November 20, 1945 in Mt. Olive, NC to his parents, Irene Greenfield-Sampson & the late John Middleton. In 1956, Robert relocated to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania with his mother and brothers, and received his education in the Harrisburg area school systems; where he attended Edison Jr. High and William Penn High schools. Robert was affectionately known as âTarzanâ, he enjoyed and cherished life to the fullest; and had a passion for music and dancing, for which he did so well and got a lot of attention for. He possessed many talents that kept him busy. His personality and smile was infectious, he was well known and respected by all who knew and loved him. On July 14, 2014, Robert departed this earth, to join his parents John & Irene, his daughter Adrienne Davis, and his brother William âBuddyâ Sampson, whom preceded him in death. Robert will forever be in the hearts, souls, and minds of those left to cherish his memories: 4 children- Anthony N. Shirk, Terrence L. Shirk, Sr.(Donna S.),; Robin Y. Quarles(Darryl Q.) & Kenyatta Cleveland; 12 grandchildren- Dominique D., Quinton D., Christian W., DeAngelo S., Terrence S. Jr., Dayyatta C., Kenyatta W., Jhoni D., LaToya S., Donnetta A., Precious S. & JaâLees S.; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers- Terry L. Sampson(Vivian S.) & Edward E. Sampson, Sr.(Darlene S.); 1 nephew- Edward S., Jr.; 4 nieces- Teresa S., Dawn C., Lindsay L.(Jason) & Morgan S.; 2 great-nephews; 7 great-nieces; a special thanks to long- time friend of family, Ms. Roberta and a host many more relatives and friends.
