Richard C. Garlington

Richard C. Garlington, 73 of Harrisburg, passed peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2014 in Harrisburg Hospital. Richard retired from the US Post Office as a Mail Handler, with 39 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Baptist Fellowship Church, the Hospitality Committee; a member of the Central Baptist Layman’s Assoc., Meals on Wheels (Shirmanstown), the US Postal Gun Club and enjoyed bike riding, bowling and crossword puzzles. Richard leaves to celebrate his life and memory his loving and devoted wife Barbara Garlington, children; Richard Jr., and Jodie Garlington of Harrisburg, Lance Garlington of IL and Cynthia Bass of CO, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and predeceased by a son, Brian Garlington. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at The First Baptist Church of Steelton, 1850 S. 19th Street at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 9:00 a.m. and interment in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
