Rhonda “Foxy Brown” Strawn was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on January 15, 1958 to the late Frances Brown. She was called home May 25, 2020. Rhonda graduated high school in 1975 and obtained her beautician license. She earned a business degree in college and used it to open several businesses over the years. Rhonda won Miss Photogenic of Pennsylvania. She loved to go to Bingo, do crossword puzzles, swim, play board games and cards.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her siblings Willie Davis and Adrienne Davis.
Rhonda leaves her children Richard R. Mitchell, Vernell “Goldie” Mitchell, Ali V. Mitchell, Rhonda “Sparkle” Mitchell, Vernell D. Harris, Vernella R. Enos, Jared J. Enos, Tondalaya T. Enos. 39 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Surviving siblings are Francine Davis, Ivory Davis, Angelo Davis, Robin Quarles and Raylonda Davis. Surviving Brother in-laws are Steve Strawn, Thornell Strawn and Dave Strawn. Surviving Sister in-laws are Nancy Strawn-Hall and Eunice Strawn. Surviving son in-law is Matthew Martin. Surviving daughter in-law Tiffany Mitchell.
Rhonda loved her husband Vernell Strawn since the 1970’s. Together, they have traveled all over the country. From Muhammad Ali fights to Super Bowls to being on Good Morning America. In the 13 years Vernell worked with the Dallas Cowboys, Rhonda became personal friends with Muhammad Ali and many people within the Dallas Cowboys organization. Rhonda was a star. Her smile lit up the room, she will surely be missed.
Services held at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. are being held privately for the family.
