Raymond Eugene Williams (“Skinny Ray”) was born on October 27, 1945, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to Lavinia Williams. Skinny Ray was educated in the Harrisburg School District.

After graduating, he met Dorothy Brown and together they had a son, Raymond Pittman. Shortly after the birth of his son, Raymond entered the Army. He returned home in 1975 where he met Doloris Grice, his life partner, with whom he shared his life until his untimely passing on December 1, 2023.

Skinny Ray was funny, witty, charismatic, laid back, and chill. He loved to fish, shop, tour the flea markets, and just hang out while talking jive with his friends. He Really, Really, Really loved the flea markets. Ray worked numerous jobs throughout his life but enjoyed none more than taking his riders back and forth to work as he formed lasting friendships along the way.

Raymond was preceded in death by his mother Lavinia Williams, and his stepsons Henry (Hank) Grice and Michael Grice, Sr. He is survived by his son Raymond E. Pittman (Tanya), his brother Lawrence Williams (Lynn), his grandchildren Charae Pittman and Michael Grice, Jr., his great grandchildren Grae, Michael III, and Sage, his nephews Lawrence Williams, Jr. and LauVarre Williams (Radiah), and his niece Lichelle Williams, and a host of great nieces, nephews, and friends.
