Ralph L. Payne Jr.

Ralph Lewis Payne Jr. born on November 28, 1952  transitioned into glory on April 22, 2020 in Orlando, Florida where he resided for over forty years.  Ralph also affectionately known as “Butch” was the son of Laura P. Jackson and the late Ralph Lewis Sr, predeceased by a sister Patricia (Tish) Winters.  Butch grew up in Harrisburg, PA.  He graduated from William Penn High School with the class of 1970.  After high school he joined the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Thailand.  When he returned home from the military, he launched his career in the Elevator Industry repairing elevators and escalators.  Butch is survived by his mother Laura P. Jackson, aunt Estoria Black, Katrina Shuler, daughters; Tausha D. Early, Sunday P. Payne, sons, Ralph Lewis Payne III aka “Butchie”, Samuel B. Redding III, granddaughter, Paige S. Early, sisters; Yvonne Matthews, Frances Lawson, brother, Leroy Cowboy Johnson and 25 nieces and nephews. Ralph (Butch) will be missed by all especially his mother, children, siblings, family and friends. Services will be held privately at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. on Friday, May 8, 2020, burial Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
