Pauline Lester

"A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words." -unknown Pauline Lester, 87, passed peacefully on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, in Pottstown, PA. She was the daughter of the late Ocie Jane Mays and Deacon W. Martin and the wife of the late Othal M. Lester Sr. Pauline was a member of Redeem United Church; she loved to cook, shop, play bingo she also enjoyed caring for the children at the St. Stephens Episcopal Church School, where she worked for many years. She leaves to celebrate her life and memory daughters; Oddie-Lee Williams, Harrisburg, Paulette Lester, Atlanta, Ga., Kaleen Lester-Martin, Pottstown, sons Ernest Lester, Harrisburg, Milton Deberry, Chicago, Ill., Othal M.Lester Jr., Harrisburg, 11 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 6 great great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2009 at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. at 10:00 a.m., viewing 9:00 a.m. with internment in Arlington National Cemetery. The family wishes to acknowledge each and every one of you for your many acts of kindness and prayers during their bereavement. Thank you and God bless you.
