Osgood Turner Jr.

Osgood (Goodie) Turner Jr. passed away at the age of 62 on December 20, 2023 in Harrisburg, PA. Goodie was born on December 16, 1961 to Osgood Turner Sr. and Rebecca Turner in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, and his ladies: Becky (Rebecca Turner), Ms. Brandom, Ms. Renie, and Ms. Aretha Franklin.

He is survived by his brother, Dwight Tyler, and his sisters Sharon Thomas, Vadha Turner, Mary Turner, Iverna Ogoegbuleum (Marcel Ogoegbulem), Patricia Thompson and Sandra Thompson as well a his Aunt Chris Tyler, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Special shout-out to his bestie Arnetta Manghan.

Goodie was well-known for being Aretha Franklin's number-one fan! One of his most cherished memories was getting to see Aretha live in concert. Not only did he collect her albums but he was first in line to see her musical biography "Respect." Some of his favorite Aretha songs included "A Rose is Still a Rose" and "Chain of Fools."

Goodie will be remembered for "burning" people on the dance floor with his slop moves, his ear-shattering karaoke singing, and his loyalty to his family (especially his overbearing protection of his nieces).
