Odessa Alexander

Odessa Alexander was born on November 26, 1948, in Portsmouth, Ohio. After graduating from high school, she embarked on a fulfilling career at Penn National, where she built lifelong friendships with her colleagues and made meaningful contributions. She joyfully retired after dedicating many years to the company and continued to enjoy retiree events and gatherings.

In her free time, Odessa found joy in brisk walks, experimenting with new cooking recipes, and indulging in her passion for online shopping.

On December 1, 2024, Odessa Alexander peacefully passed away in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Vallie Mae Alexander and R.L. Alexander.

Odessa leaves behind cherished family members, including her sister, Olebia Snuggs; her niece, Lynetta Alexander; and her great-nieces, Shakira Alexander, Clairsean Alexander, and Aneisha Alexander. She will also be deeply missed by her dear friend, Ricky.

A service to celebrate Odessa Alexander’s life will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Hooper Memorial Home, 3532 Walnut St., Harrisburg, PA 17109. Burial will follow at East Harrisburg Cemetery, 2260 Herr St., Harrisburg, PA 17103.
