Nehemiah Burrell, of Lower Paxton Twp., passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2008. He was born October 10, 1933 in Akron, Alabama to the late Josh and Victoria Burrell. Nehemiah lived and worked in Lackawanna and Buffalo, New York at the Bethlehem Steel Mill. He was transferred to the Bethlehem Steel Mill in Pennsylvania where he met and married his devoted wife, Irma Weatherspoon. Nehemiah liked cooking and fishing and enjoyed showering his wife with flowers and gifts. Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Irma W. Burrell; a son, Shannon Burrell of Buffalo, New York; a stepson, Maurice Edwards Sr. of Harrisburg, who was his primary caregiver, 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Nehemiah will be missed by his family and friends. Home going services for Nehemiah will be held at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc., Monday, March 24th at 12 Noon, viewing at 11:00 a.m. with internment at Paxtang Cemetery. His Pastor the Ronald E. Franklin of Silver Springs will officiate. Even deeply grieved his wife gives thanks to the Almighty God for their Union.
