Nancy J. Washington

  "Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free... "   Nancy J. Washington, 66, passed peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2011 in Harrisburg Hospital. She was born and raised in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Nancy was a homemaker, previously worked as a barmaid and ran the lottery machines and also worked in domestic services.  She also enjoyed creating things, working with her hands and entertaining.  Nancy is survived by her children, Dana and Duane Washington and Donald Washington-Jackson all of Harrisburg, siblings, Shirley Mosten, Norma Williams and Deborah Washington, two grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Norman and Elvira Washington, her siblings, Thomas "Butch", Charles and Paulette Washington. A memorial service will be host at 3:00 p.m. by her family on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Jackson Lick Apartments, Lick Building Social Room, 1301 N. 6th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102. The family is appreciative for the many acts of love and kindness shown to them during their time of loss and sorrow.
