Nancy Louise Lewis

Nancy Louise Lewis, 80, of Harrisburg, PA passed from this life into eternity on Saturday, May 13, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born on February 17, 1943 in Middletown, PA. Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Russell C. Fields, Sr., mother Ada E. Fields, husband Howard L. Lewis, Sr., daughter Consuella R. Watlington, and grandson Timothy W. Dendy Jr.

Nancy, commonly known growing up to close friends and family as “Prune” was a determined and dedicated wife, mother and friend. She was a dedicated member of the ministry she and her husband founded. The most recent role was Vice President and Overseer of New Covenant Evangelistic Ministries (NCEM)----- at NCEM she worked for over 20 years. Nancy’s true passion was Jesus Christ. She was part of the counseling ministry and many other efforts that occurred at the church. Nancy later also considered herself a member of Fellowship Study Group Church where she learned under the leadership of Pastor Keith Smith. Nancy used her gift of ministering to others with her life while she was in the hospital, nursing home and rehabilitation center recovering from back surgery and her partial paralysis.

Besides spending time with her church Nancy loved spending time with family, friends and traveling throughout her life. Nancy had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to discern people. She touched many lives with wit, humor, generosity and passion for life.

Nancy is survived by a loving sister Zola Colston; daughters, Felica Lewis, Dana Lutz, and Leona Adkins (Rodney); sons Howard Lewis, Jr. and Terrance Lewis (Sarah); granddaughters Ariel Watlington, Macey Schumacher (Josh), Taylor Lewis, and Danielle Watlington; grandsons Micheal Dendy (Jenn), Tyrese, Chance, Howard Lewis III, and Ashton Lewis; great grandchildren, Michael and Mia Dendy, Milo Lewis and a host of relatives and friends.
