Mother Alzrio McDonald

Mother Alzrio (Brooks) McDonald, 98 of Harrisburg passed June 27, 2021. Born March 9, 1923, in Tyler, Florida to the late James and Mary Lee Brooks, including her parents Mother predeceased by 5 children (Celia, Ernest, Samuel, Purcell and James) and 4 siblings (Alex, Lizzie, Jacob and Daskie). In 1941, she married James McDonald and together had 10 children. She devoted years of service families, their trucking business, and The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania retiring after 63 years. Mother was a member of Mount Calvary C.O.G.I.C and recipient of many awards and apart of affliction. More importantly, she was the Matriarch of the McDonald Family Prayer Group. She enjoyed going to church, praying, fishing, gardening, cooking, spending time with loved ones and friends. Mother leaves to cherish her memories her children; Celestine, Lucille, Starling (Michelle), Richard and Robert (Lisa), siblings; Alvana, Anderson (Josephine), Beressa, 24 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, 50 great-great-grandchildren, a host of relatives, church family and friends. Service will be held Thursday, July 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Calvary C.O.G.I.C., 1830 North Fifth Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17102.
