Morton D. Hendrickson, 84, of Harrisburg passed away in his home on April 15, 2013. He was the son of Morton and Mildred Hendrickson of Long Island, New York. Mort served in the army as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He retired from Harrisburg Dairies after 36 years.He was a member of The Cathedral Church of St. Stephen where he served for many years in numerous ways. Mort was an avid fan of IndyCar racing. He loved woodworking and carving and was a member of the Paxton Promenaders square dancing club. He is survived by Helen, his wife of 61 years and their three children; Lynn Ralston of Spring Mills, PA, Susan Larsen of Greene, NY and Robert Hendrickson of Hampton, VA. He has seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Kenneth Hendrickson of Holiday, Florida. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cathedral Church of St. Stephen at 221 N. Front Street, Harrisburg. Burial will be on Monday at Fort Indiantown Gap. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Cathedral or the Capital Area WW II Round Table.
