Mernola C. Washington

"May the work I've done speak for me..." Mernola C. Washington, 102, widow of John H. Washington, died of natural causes on July 10, 2010. This beloved aunt of many lived and worked in New York City for over 70 years. A vibrant matriarch, she attributed her long life to faith in God, nutrition and exercise. Auntie remained active in health clubs, bowling leagues, The Military Widows, extensive travel, family reunions and her church until well into her nineties. Services will be held at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 12:00 Noon, viewing at 11:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
