Mary E. Rockmore, 84, of Harrisburg, passed peacefully on Friday April 3, 2009. She was a retiree of the Commonwealth of PA and an employee of the old Penn Harris Hotel. Mary enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing cards and gardening. She was also a member of Harrisburg Church of Christ. Mary leaves to celebrate her life her children: Prudence A. Clark, Sharon L. Hills, James R. Rector, Doncella F. McGuffin, Tonya C. Allen, Keith D. Rockmore, 2 sisters Betty Selvey and Mrs. Kathryn Williams, 17 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held in her church at 205 Miller Rd., Harrisburg on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 11:00 am with viewing at 10:00 and burial in Paxtang Cemetery.
