"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose... " Mary I. Manning, 86, of Harrisburg, passed peacefully on Saturday, December 25, 2010 in Colonial Park Care Center. She was the wife of the late Jacob Manning and predeceased by a granddaughter, Yvette Havior. Mary retired from the Commonwealth of PA and had more than 35 years of dedicated service. She was a longtime member of Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church, a member of the Eastern Star, she enjoyed shopping, reading and caring for those in need. She leaves to celebrate her life and memory, her children Eugene Manning of Harrisburg and Ruby Havior of Georgia, a sister Kate Ware also of Georgia, a granddaughter Shannie Black and step-granddaughters Lori Wiley and Leslie Proctor, as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Services for Mary will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010 in her church, 2447 Green Street, Harrisburg, at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery. www.hooperfuneral.com
