"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want ... " Martha Ann Johnson Roberts, 80, of Lower Paxton, passed peacefully at home on Monday, January 7, 2013. She was the devoted wife of the late Albert J. Roberts Jr.; born in Clearfield, PA and the loving daughter of the late Laurence and Martha Jenkins Johnson. Martha was a member of The Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Pastor's Aide Ministry. She enjoyed music of all genres, an avid sports fan and supporter of local athletic talents. She loved reading, animals, a collector of butterflies and black history stamps. Martha worked for the Department of Public Welfare and retired from the Commonwealth of PA after 43 years of dedicated service. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Sean J. Roberts. She is survived by her two daughters, Yaivette M. Roberts and Yonise A. Roberts Paige; son-in-law, Erick Paige, all of Harrisburg; one sister, Anna Kathryn DeCarlo and brother-in-law, Joseph DeCarlo, of New York; niece, Kimberly A. Doss and aunt, Nelly J. Lawson both of Harrisburg, and a host of relatives and friends. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff and management of Home Instead and BAYADA Home Health Care agencies. A tribute to her life will be on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in her church, 212 N. Progress Ave., Harrisburg, with Pastor Reginald Bass, officiating. Visitation and viewing will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., prior to services.
