Mark J. Lawrence, 46 of Harrisburg, passed peacefully on Friday, August 6th, 2021. He was born in Bronx, New York on May 26, 1975 to the late Lorenzo Lawrence and Dorothy M. (Ervin) Lawrence. He is also predeceased by three siblings; Althea Laster, Lorenzo Lawrence Jr. and Michael Lawrence.
In New York, Mark worked for a company that did piece work. He would focus on his tasks at hand and would complete his responsibilities with zeal and enthusiasm. It was important to him to do a good job.
Mark was an outgoing guy; he was an advocate for those with special needs. He was friendly and greeted everyone with warmth and confidence. Mark enjoyed sports; weight lifting, football, basketball, soccer and had several trophies to prove his outstanding accomplishments. He also enjoyed reading and telling bible stories.
Mark in his own right was a ladies’ man, he would often model and strike a pose. Mark enjoyed music; dancing, playing the guitar, and the sounds of Johnny Cash, Elvis and Usher to name of few. He was living his best life and enjoyed every moment of it.
Mark will be dearly missed by his siblings; Darrell Lawrence, Pamela Gibbs, Patricia Brown, Kimberley Dailey and Nakesha Dailey , he was an uncle and great-uncle to many, and will remembered by a host of relatives and friends. Mark enhanced our lives by reminding us what was important and his legacy will live in our hearts forever.
