Marion E. McCombs

Marion E. McCombs passed suddenly on Sunday, June 5th 2005 in her 83rd year. Marion was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Arron McCombs. She retired from the federal government, in the Department of Health, Education & Welfare as an Executive Assistant. Mrs. McCombs was a member of Redeeming Life Christian Fellowship, the Church Mother and Musician. She was also a member of Parmount Baptist Church in Washington, DC, the 1st Lady for 30 years, and the Musician for many of the Choirs, Church Secretary and Golden Member of the Ministers Wives of Greater DC. Mrs. McCombs leaves to celebrate her life and memory, her loving daughter, Laverne Lewis - Hudnell, 2 sisters, Natalie LaPrade of Maryland and Evelyn Knighton of Nevada, 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, June 9th from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m., Home Going Services will be held on Saturday, June 11th at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 9:00 a.m. until time of services at Parmount Baptist Church, 3924 4th Street S.E., Washington DC and interment at Harmony Memorial Cemetery in Landover, MD.
