Margaret L. Pierce

Margaret "Peggy" L. Pierce, 66, of Middletown, PA, passed away Monday, February 21, 2011, at the Polyclinic Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles M. Pierce. She was also preceded in death by her mother Ruth J. Edwards and father Edward Gray. Jr. 
Peggy, as she was affectionately known, was a retired employee of the PA Department of Labor and Industry where she gave over 10 years of dedicated service. She later became a self employed child care provider, loving caring for children of all ages for over 15 years. In her later years, she was a seasonal employee for the PA Department of Revenue, working tirelessly during the busy tax season.
Peggy enjoyed playing bingo, visiting Atlantic City, and spending time at the John Heinz Senior Center. She was a member of the Mt. Sinai AME Church and loved attending Sunday school there. 
She leaves to celebrate her life two daughters, Veronica L. Pierce, of Harrisburg and Tamaralyn J. Wilson, of Steelton, a son-in-law Kenneth L. Wilson, seven grandchildren, Bryan K. Hickman, II, Dallas O. Brown, Joshua A. Wilson, Josiah A. Wilson, Judah B. Wilson, Ariana G. Wilson, and David A. Wilson and a host of other relatives and close friends. 
Memorial services will be held on Monday, February 28, 2011 at the Mt. Sinai AME Church, 2334 Highland Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17109. The visitation will begin at 11am and the service will begin at noon.
