Maggie Sheppard

Maggie Mae Sheppard born February 21, 1936 transitioned on Thursday, December 28, 2023 surrounded by family. At the age of 87 years old. She has five children, Leona S. Wade (Larry), Doris Sheppard, Barbara Sheppard, (Relias), all of Harrisburg, PA, Mary Sheppard (Herb) of Clearfield, PA, one son, John Sheppard of Harrisburg, PA, her brother John Wright of Texas.

Preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Wright and late husband Kenneth Sheppard, Great Grandson Larry Wade III.

She has 12 grand-children , 23 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She retired from Golden Living Nursing Home as Line Cook. She was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Women, Hospitality Committee and Action Guide. She was a life member of Daughter of IBPO ELKS Unity Temple #61 of Harrisburg, PA.

Maggie loved doing crossword puzzles, watching tv, trips with Harrisburg Elks, going out to eat, she enjoyed spending time with her family, she loved receiving scratch off tickets. She loved spending time with her homies at 6th and Emerald Street.

She will be missed by many and we will cherish the memories she left behind. Rest well mom no more suffering or worrying you are at peace.
