Lue Ida Ewings, 88, of Lower Paxton, passed peacefully on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Spring Creek Rehabilitation Center. Ida was a member of Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church and a former member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Ida as she was known retired from the Commonwealth of PA, Department of Transportation with more than 20 years of dedicated service. Ida enjoyed going to church, playing card games, going to the casinos and watching sports on television. She leaves to celebrate her memory her two devoted daughters, Jackie Green-Austin (Robert) and Patricia "Treaty" Tatum (Melvin) all of Harrisburg; her sister, Sadie Penn of Steelton, 3 grandchildren, Shane Williamson, Nicole Green and James Williamson, 1 great-grandchild, Kenney Robinson, her godchildren, Shelia and Carlos Julius and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church, 2447 Green Street, Harrisburg at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 and burial in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
