Lucille Layton
Lucille Layton, 75 of Harrisburg, passed peacefully on August 13, 2021 in UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Mack Carter Sr. and Minnie Sue (Jones) Carter, also predeceased by a daughter Kimberly Matthews. Lucille retired from Service Master as a Supervisor with several years of service. Lillian was a member of Glory to God in the Highest and enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing and styling hair. She also enjoyed old westerns and black and white vintage movies. Lucille leaves to cherish her life and memory her children; Vernon (Tawanda) Matthews, Vernice Tippitt, Joanne Carter, Gina Carter and a brother Mark Carter Jr. (deceased), 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of family members and friends.
